Beyond the Ticket: Solving for Physical Access & Social Friction

BookMyShow is the market leader in entertainment ticketing, yet the traditional "seat map" often ignores the physical reality of the theater for individuals with mobility limitations. This teardown focuses on deep accessibility and the social complexity of group bookings.

1. Mobility-First Architecture

The Challenge: Users with temporary or permanent mobility issues lack data on "path of commute" within the theatre (ramps, stairs, emergency exit proximity). Implementation: Accessible Design Wireframes. Introducing filters for "Step-Free Access" and highlighting the distance/effort required to reach specific seats directly on the seating layout.

2. Eliminating the 'Group Indecision' Paradox

The Problem: Groups of 4-10 friends often face "decision paralysis" when finalizing a movie, leading to churn and lost sales. Strategic Solution: The Structured Poll. An in-app polling feature that allows a group leader to suggest a shortlist of movies/times, allowing friends to vote and finalize within the BookMyShow ecosystem.

3. High-Signal Reminders

UX Refinement: Implementing "Contextual Reminders" (e.g., carry an ID for 'A-rated' movies) as proactive nudges rather than reactive gatekeeping at the theater entrance.
